The vendor’s Physicians shall receive a briefing prior to the assumption of duties and responsibilities by the Medical Services Chief or designated representative of the HSH regarding the provision of the following diagnostic and administrative services which shall include, but not limited to: 1. Establish diagnosis. 2. Provide assessments and medical evaluations. 3. Provide consultations to other vendors and staff. 4. Document clinical findings and recommendations in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. 5. Prescribe and manage medications. 6. Work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary team members and other medical service vendors the person served may have (e.g., community primary care physician or psychiatrist, in the case of inpatient care). 7. Attend and provide in-service training as needed. 8. Provide clinical services under the supervision of the Medical Services Unit Chief or designee of the HSH. There may be administrative direction provided as warranted by the Administrator of the HSH. 9. Conduct hospital rounds or clinical visits at the HSH Dispensary as needed. 10. Provide professional consultation to other ancillary systems when requested. 11. Complete admission H&Ps (standardized form) within 24 hours of a patient’s admission and formal dictation (template) per policy timeframes. 12. Medical care discharge summaries and annual physical are also dictated per policy timeframes.
