One year contract for horticultural and landscaping services for Native Plant Demonstration Garden (approx. 20 x 50 ft.) at 1151 Punchbowl St (Kalanimoku building), Ewa-Makai corner. Weekly maintenance including but not limited to: Weed control (hand removal vs. spraying preferred); Trash removal; Insect control (organic if possible); Monitor for pests and treat as needed. Keep walls and metal grates cleared of overgrowth (native and non-native); Replace plants as needed (additional, external funds provided for this) (Trees over 10 feet tall are not included as they are managed separately). Update and consult with Urban & Community Forester every six months. Note that the site is irrigated but the system is occasionally tampered with. It needs to be monitored. Contractor to provide their own tools and organic chemicals. Types of organic chemicals to be approved by Contract Administrator.
