• Services would cover the following State and Federally listed species: Hawaiian hoary bat (‘ōpe‘ape‘a, Lasiurus semotus) • Design and implement a targeted research study to assess Hawaiian hoary bat (ʻōpeʻapeʻa) activity in relation to wind speed at selected wind turbine sites. The study will utilize highresolution thermal imaging cameras to monitor bat presence and behavior with a focus on identifying thresholds of wind speed that correlate with increased or decreased bat activity. • Select 6 to 8 representative data collection sites across wind energy facilities Statewide consolidating locations with similar wind regimes. Site selection should aim to capture a range of features or risks that may influence bat activity, enabling cross-site comparison and improving the generalizability of the findings.
