A. Timeframe. All on-site work shall be done from Monday to Friday, except City and County of Honolulu holidays, in compliance with the State Community Noise Control for Oahu and Wage/Hour Schedules. Access and start times for project shall be coordinated with the OIC. B. Bio-sock and Water Pollution Controls. The Contractor must set up appropriate bio-sock and water pollution controls prior to start of the project. Contractor shall employ Storm Water Best Management Practice Manual for Construction, dated November 2011. C. Surface Preparation. 1. Surface must be properly prepared, cleaned and dried by mechanically abrading and scarifying the surface profile equivalent to a Concrete Surface Preparation 3 (CSP 3) rating by shot blasting or diamond grinding. 2. The Contractor shall remove any remaining loose, deteriorated materials and other floor products to attain a surface that is clean, free of dust, dirt, grease, paint, oil, chemicals and other contaminants. D. Concrete Curing Agents. The Contractor shall not use concrete curing agents as they may prevent bonding. curing material is present, the surface must be shot blasted to remove these contaminants. E. Repair. The Contractor shall repair and fill spalls, control joints, and cracks with fast cure resin and sand level once dry to ensure a smooth, flat surface.
