A. Item No. 1, 13 Cubic Yard Rear Loading Refuse Collection Vehicle. 1. Truck Cab and Chassis a. Model: New, of 2025 or later production model meeting all current emission, efficiency, performance and safety standards. b. GVWR: 33,000 lb. GVWR. c. Cab: Cab over three (3) man forward facing design. Both cab doors shall include power or manual roll up/down type windows. The City reserves the right to inspect a fully equipped 3-man forward facing model prior to issuance of an award. The City shall be responsible for any and all costs associated with this inspection. Note that cab over models shall comply with Passenger seating specifications as stated in specification kk (2). d. Overall Length: As required for the completed model offered. e. Cab/Axle: As required by the body manufacturer for the model offered. f. Truck Chassis Frame: The truck chassis frame shall not extend beyond the refuse body opening. g. Wheelbase: Of sufficient length for the cab/axle offered. h. Frame: (1) R.B.M.: 1,396,000 lbs. /in. per rail. (2) End of Frame: It shall be understood and agreed herein, without exception, that upon installation of the refuse body on the truck chassis, the end of the frame shall be strengthened per the final stage manufacturer requirements to prevent frame flexing problems. i. Front Axle Capacity: Of sufficient rating as recommended by the manufacturer for the model provided to meet the truck functionality and GVWR specified. j. Rear Axle Capacity: Single reduction, of sufficient rating as recommended by the manufacturer for the model provided to meet the truck functionality and GVWR specified. Differential gear ratio to be determined by the City from the manufacturer’s standard offerings. Shall include synthetic oil and manufacturer’s standard wheel ends.
