The radio shall not be mounted on the floor of the cab or in a location that prevents full and unrestricted driver or passenger seat adjustments. The remote-mounted microphone shall be mounted within easy reach of the vehicle operator while seated. Speaker shall be mounted in an area that will not obstruct any cab features or interfere with driver’s view or legroom. Antenna shall be mounted in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements along roof’s centerline and properly sealed to prevent water intrusion into the cab. The Contractor shall also install ignition sense wire (wire the radio to the ignition) as per manufacturer’s specifications. Radio programming shall be the responsibility of the City.
