Contractor shall furnish and deliver emergency food supplies contained in buckets with shelf-stable meals to various designated locations across the Islands of O'ahu, Hawai'i, and Kaua'i on an as need basis. The locations(s) will be determined by the City and respective County, if needed, and coordinated with the Contractor. The food supplies contained in buckets shall be provided as specified below: A. Food Bucket Specifications: 1. Material: BPA-free, food grade plastic. 2. Color: Black, tan, or white. 3. Emergency Food Supplies: a. Each food bucket shall contain meal options, which consist of a variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, and carbohydrates. All food buckets are not required to include the exact same meals, but shall include a variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, and carbohydrates. b. Serving Size: Minimum of 120 servings of ready-to-eat servings of food per bucket. c. Food shall be safely sealed in a pouch. d. Average meal serving: Approximately 200 calories. e. Reconstitution with water without requiring a heating source. f. Shelf Life: Minimum of 25 years. g. Transportation and Storage Conditions: Food shall not require refrigeration or other climate-controlled equipment to maintain its freshness for consumption.
