A. The Contractor must ensure that all security guard personnel under this contract shall be adequately instructed as to the requirements herein and shall meet all applicable provisions of said Chapter. Security guards must also have the ability, as determined by the Officer in Charge or an authorized representative of the Officer in Charge, to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; think and act quickly in an emergency; appraise situations and people and decide upon appropriate courses of action. B. Contractor shall be accessible by email, telephone, telephone answering machine or telephone answering service. The Contractor shall not employ recorded messages for communication. C. Contractor shall be available 24/7 during the contract term for consultation, reporting of incidents, support for staff, etc. D. During the performance of the Contract, if the Contractor is inaccessible by telephone or does not respond to any message left for the Contractor within twentyfour (24) hours from the time of the message, the City shall reserve the right to terminate the contract and suspend the Contractor from participating on any or all City bids for a period not to exceed three (3) months. E. In case of emergencies, the Contractor shall provide a telephone number that the City may contact during non-City working hours. A Contractor who is unable to comply with this telephone accessibility requirement may make alternative arrangements satisfactory to the City to permit daily communication between the Contractor and the City.
