Work included under this agreement shall consist of a full-service maintenance contract for Fire Protection Equipment (FPE). Work performed by the CONTRACTOR shall conform to current standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and be subject, where applicable, to all laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations of the Federal, State and Local Governments or any of their departments or agencies. 1.1 Work shall consist of FPE Inspection, Maintenance and Testing. Work may include FPE Replacement and Services, and Authorized Extra Work for Emergency Services, Trouble Calls and Repairs as needed throughout the year. 1.2 Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools and incidentals necessary for recharging, replacing, cleaning, inspecting, mounting, reporting, tagging and testing of all FPE. Also included is the furnishing and installing missing or additional portable fire extinguishers, recharging, and disposal of old portable fire extinguishers, installing new fire hoses, and installing and removal of external signs,. The STATE shall not furnish new portable fire extinguishers and signs. 1.3 The CONTRACTOR shall ensure proper identification for each FPE equipment and system. Tags and labels for maintenance records, including month, year, and technician, shall be legible and securely attached. 1.4 All CONTRACTOR’s personnel working on FPE shall be trained and certified per NFPA standards.
