Description

The Hilo Medical Center (HMC) is a 140-bed acute care sole community hospital located in Hilo, Hawaii. HMC initiated a clinical documentation improvement program (CDI program) in April 2015 and has realized improved clinical documentation as a result. HMC implemented the program with the help of an outside consultant but without technology to support the program. Therefore, HMC now seeks to acquire technology and consulting services over the next three years that will meet the ongoing training and development needs of HMC staff as well as help ensure the viability of the CDI program long-term.
