Specifications include, but are not limited to: Canopy road clearance must meet a minimum height of sixteen (16) feet over the road and circumference. Smaller trees may be sloped pruned over road down to a clearance on backside away from road that does not exceed the 1/3 rule of trimming but a minimum of 8 feet on the backside. Limbs over houses must be raised to 10 foot clearance over the roof and extra 6 if around chimneys. No limbs 8 inches or greater in diameter to be removed without approval. Road sign, traffic lights, and street lights must be cleared. Road signs required sight distance is 50 feet from sign. Traffic lights required sight distance of 500 feet from traffic light. Limbs or brush on traffic control light support arms or lines must be cleared. Street lights required clearances of 10 foot circumference to the ground and 6 feet over the top of the street light head. Sidewalks and right of way clearances outside of roadways pruned to a minimum height of 14 feet. Dead or damaged limbs must be pruned 1 inch in diameter or bigger. Private trees hanging over the right of way must be raised to meet required standards listed above back to the right of way line. All pruning should not exceed the 1/3 rule of trimming unless approved. All pruning cuts must be painted with provided chemicals. Trees can only be removed if arborist has approved them.
