Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 CCSD/CCG wishes to issue a contract for supplementary waste collection and disposal. This contract will be utilized in cases in which CCSD’s/CCG’s main waste vendor is unable to provide service. Services include, but are not limited to, dumping and disposal of solid waste, dumping and disposal of recycling, and rental of dumpsters/containers for special events. 3.2 CCSD/CCG schools/departments may choose from any of the awarded vendors and may switch vendors at their discretion at any time during the length of the contract. 3.3 For purposes of this contract, CCSD is divided into 5 service zones and CCG makes up service zone 6 (See pages 14-21 for zone locations). On the Bid Form, the vendor is to indicate which zones they can service. NOTE: This is for informational purposes only so that schools/departments know which vendors to contact for service at their location. 3.4 CCSD/CCG reserve the right to change the services required under this contract and may adjust the contract price to reflect the cost associated with such changes, including but not limited to: 3.4.1 Adding/removing containers; 3.4.2 Changing size of containers; 3.4.3 Changing frequency of service; 3.4.4 Adding/removing service locations. 3.5 Dumpsters/Compactors/Containers 3.5.1 Current sizes and types utilized by CCSD: 3.5.1.1 4-yard front load 3.5.1.2 6-yard front load 3.5.1.3 8-yard front load 3.5.1.4 6-yard compactor 3.5.1.5 8-yard compactor 3.5.1.6 30-yard compactor 3.5.1.7 30-yard roll off 3.5.2 Current sizes and types utilized by Cobb County Government: 3.5.2.1 96 gallon cart 3.5.2.2 2-yard front load 3.5.2.3 4-yard front load 3.5.2.4 6-yard front load 3.5.2.5 8-yard front load 3.5.2.6 30-yard compactor 3.5.2.7 30-yard roll off 3.5.3 CCSD/CCG requests that vendors provide a list of any additional sizes and the corresponding pricing on Line 25 of the Bid Form for sizes not listed above. 3.5.4 Dumpsters must be “new” in appearance and must meet the aesthetic expectations of CCSD/CCG. This includes good paint, working tops and doors, minimal wear, with no rust. Any dumpster not meeting this expectation shall be removed and replaced with a suitable replacement at no additional cost to CCSD/CCG. 3.5.5 Dumpsters shall be rodent-proof with tight-fitting lids. These containers (dumpsters and/or compactors) must have drain plugs. 3.5.6 Dumpsters used for solid waste and recycling shall have a door on at least one side that easily opens and closes. 3.5.7 Dumpsters and compactors shall be installed and maintained in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances.
