Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 Solid fiberglass hull with a minimum thickness of ½” on hull sides, 5/8” on chine and hull bottom, ¾” in sides of keel and at all mechanical areas of the vessel, keel bottom to be a minimum of 1 ½” thick for the stated operational requirements. Hull to have adequate stringers and bulkheads for intended application. 2.1.2 Size to be 45 to 50 feet, length at waterline and 15 to 16 feet beam. 2.1.3 Fuel tanks may be either fiberglass or monel/stainless steel. They are to have a combined capacity of 700 gallons minimum and to be plumbed in a way as to allow the tanks to be isolated via valves. All plumbing to be with stainless steel or type-approved fuel line hose. 2.1.4 Fuel system to be fitted with properly sized Racor filters on both main engine and generator. 2.1.5 Hull design shall protect propeller and propeller shaft in the event of a vessel grounding. 2.1.6 Hull design must have a center keel. 2.1.7 Hull design must have a spray rail and flared bow to reduce the overspray on cabin and crew. 2.1.8 Hull must have adequate freeboard to allow for 24” – 28” distance between gunwale and work deck while installing main engine flush beneath the deck.
