Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall furnish the selected flooring, floor levelers, pad/tack strips (if required), tools, hardware, glue, etc. as may be required for a complete installation. Base bid installation pricing shall be based on glued down methods. Contractor shall accept floor conditions as delivered to him and is responsible for all reasonable and normal floor preparation. Owner will determine what constitutes reasonable and normal floor preparation. In the case of differences in floor elevation greater than one-fourth inch in five lineal feet, the Owner shall provide special floor preparation. The scope of this additional floor preparation shall be considered outside of this Contract work. Contractor shall remove trash from sites accruing from his operations. Contractor acknowledges that buildings are occupied and, as such, certain precautions are required by the Contractor including but not limited to barricades, noise protection, dust protection, furnishing relocation, etc. Contractor shall measure all rooms and areas where work is to be performed and inform Owner of quantity and size prior to individual work order awards. Owner shall maintain final determination of payment quantities and measurement methods. Full and complete installation shall be included in the per square yard or footage price listed on the Bid Form. Contractor must furnish dimensioned seaming diagram of proposed flooring layout prior to ordering said flooring.
