Specifications include, but are not limited to: Prepare area The Contractor shall close, remove or cover potential hazards. Ensure all windows and doors are closed. Thoroughly water plants near area to prevent plants from taking up detergent solution. Place plastic drop cloths over any bushes or plants to ensure the detergent does not harm them. Cover light fixtures, electric meters, telephone/communications interface boxes and any other exterior electrical component. Install temporary barricades to prevent pedestrian crossing. Presoak The Contractor shall treat mildew spots and stains with their preferred cleaning product. A copy of product specifications is to be included with your bid submittal. If spots are particularly stubborn, hand scrub them. Rinse the presoak. Note: The Contractor shall test any chemical proposed for use in this work on an inconspicuous area of the building to insure that it will not have an adverse reaction to the exterior materials. Power wash Cleaning shall include windows, window screens, exterior walls, exterior moldings (upper and lower), main entrance, and steps. Clean area post power wash All debris resulting from the services provided by the Contractor will be removed from lawns, sidewalks, parking lots and street immediately upon completion of work or as deemed necessary by Owner. The Contractor shall pick up and dispose of all debris and litter per visit and dispose of in the proper manner.
