Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Base Bid: The primary scope of work for this project includes materials and installation of a Parking Guidance System (“PGS”) in one (1) existing, above grade parking garage with approximately 200 spaces B. The existing parking deck is located at 153 East Crogan Street in the downtown area of Lawrenceville, GA. C. Alternate: The Contractor is permitted to propose an alternative solution, but is required to provide the solution specified in this specification as the base bid. D. The system shall have an open architecture that allows future expansion if the City decides to include other locations. A. The objectives of the Parking Guidance System (“PGS”) project include, but are not limited to: 1. System shall be designed with an open architecture in order to provide integration to third party applications. 2. Parking space calculation: a. Accurately calculate parking space availability on a space-by-space basis. b. Accurately calculate and disseminate parking space availability for the desired level of granularity (level by level and total spaces in deck) to dynamic signage. c. Accurately calculate and disseminate parking space availability for the desired level of granularity to a mobile application and/or website accessible by patrons (total spaces available). The mobile application and/or website shall be provided by the contractor. 3. Increase efficiency of operations through reduction of person-hours required for parking occupancy validation. 4. Ensure flexibility and scalability for any future need to update, upgrade, and/or expand the system, including but not limited to the addition of other parking facilities, additional signage for existing facilities, or integration with additional systems such as a new website. The central system shall be designed with excess capability that shall support as many as 1000% of the volume of detectors and space availability signs proposed. The additional capacity is intended to support possible future projects. 5. Capable of scheduling automated increases or decreases to the total facility space count at specified times throughout the day. 6. Provide an intuitive and user-friendly interface for the City and its personnel. 7. Simplified maintenance procedures for detectors, dynamic signs and back-office / IT infrastructure.
