The owner has elected to pursue the larger version of this garage described as Add Alternate on the drawings. It is a pre-engineered metal building structure to match existing construction. Upgrades to existing fleet garage and support space are proposed as shown on the construction documents dated 12/14/18. The renovations total to 9,206 sf and include removal of old finishes and features and modernization of all finishes, lighting, mechanical systems and automotive equipment as described in the drawings. Infill of existing mechanics pit and installation of a heavy duty lift for fire truck and other large vehicle repair is included in the scope. Leveling of garage floors and installation of new epoxy flooring in work bays is included in the scope. Support spaces include a locker room, training/break room, NAPA parts space and counter and a radio shop. Sealing of these spaces shall be included to prevent transmission of vehicle fumes into the spaces from the garage spaces. A vehicle exhaust system and overhead safety railing system is included in the scope. Sitework includes re-work of utilities, pavement, drainage and water quality features as described in the construction documents.
