The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) is in the process of designing a new state prison. As a component of the new state prison project, the GDC is interested in contracting with a qualified vendor for the design and implementation of a private cellular 5G solution utilizing CBRS (b48/n48 spectrum). The telecommunications infrastructure will need to be secure and isolated for the new prison, and designed to support the specific operational, security and communication needs of a correctional facility. The private network design should provide for scalability to support future expansion and flexible deployment options, including potential hybrid models and alternative spectrum use for critical operations. The state prison campus is located at 13262 Georgia Highway 24 in Davisboro, GA 31018. This project is located adjacent to the existing Washington County State Prison complex. The facility will consist of approximately 800,000SF, spread over multiple buildings, on a site covering approximately 200 acres. There are thirteen buildings on the new prison campus that require coverage by the private cellular system. These buildings are listed below along with a brief description and a total square foot value for each building. Note that Buildings 01 – 08 are located inside the perimeter double fence.
