Specifications include, but are not limited to: The new 56 Bed Housing Unit will be constructed on the campus of the Muscogee YDC located at 7700A Chatsworth Road, Midland, Georgia. The 56-Bed housing unit is designed as a single-story building consisting of approximately 36,000 square feet of space. The facility will accommodate the main control center, youth program space, behavioral health offices, group rooms for counseling and treatment. In addition, the housing unit will include security components and feature a steel cell (six-sided cube) configuration, locking controls, CCTV, etc. The control center will be located within the housing unit footprint and will become the main security hub for the entire campus and will house CCTV, locking control for housing and control site movement of pedestrian gates within the perimeter fence line. The design team may issue an early release package for civil / site work / foundations/slab. If determined to be in the best interest of maintaining the project schedule, an early release package for the steel cells (six-sided) configuration to be purchased prior to construction starting may be issued.
