Specifications include, but are not limited to: A qualified contractor to provide lawn maintenance services at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery, 1010 East Main Street. Service will include providing adequate labor and equipment for spring, summer, and early fall cleanup and mowing of the grounds April through September. Grass is to be cut on a bi-weekly basis, or less often at the direction of Public Works. This is to include trimming around trees and head stones and foot stone and any bricked or fenced in area as necessary to maintain the same height as mowed grassed. Grass clippings may be racked or mechanically bagged as necessary. A location will be provided on site for the disposal of any grass clippings. All head stones and foot markers must be kept clean and tidy; grass clippings must be blown or swept and memorials immediately following mowing activities. All practical efforts should be made to blow grass away from stones, use of chute guards is recommended to control blowing grass clippings.
