The Georgia Department of Public Health’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children Program (hereafter referred to as “DPH,” or “DPH WIC,” or “Georgia WIC”) solicits products and services including but not limited to, multi-user and single user breast pumps, breast pump supplies and accessories, and breast pump repair and cleaning services specifically for Medela Breast Pumps, Supplies and Accessories. In 2016, the Georgia WIC Program replaced many variations of breast pumps, supplies, and accessories issued across the state and implemented a statewide breast pump issuance standard utilizing Medela brand to support consistency in educational practices across Georgia minimizing breastfeeding support interruptions to include learning how to use and clean a different pump and or accessory. Due to the quality, cleaning support, warranty coverage and repair expertise, Medela will continue to be the standard product of the Georgia WIC Program.
