Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Arrange ancillary services such as laboratory, x-ray, optometry, dentistry and medical specialty referral services per the physician’s recommendation and approval of the Operations staff. 2. Coordinate transportation of inmates with the Transportation section of CCDC and the off-site care provider will bill the County through an insurance program with Blue Cross/Blue Shield or as allowed by state law. Enrollment of inmates into the insurance system through a network connection will be accomplished by Jail Administrative personnel. Provider will not be responsible for the cost of off-site care and services. 3. Provide the continuation of a comprehensive program to manage complete inmate healthcare needs in the following areas: Medication administration Medical confidentiality Documentation Head injury management Critical Care management General sick-call and follow-up Management of inmate with seizure HIV Hepatitis Tuberculosis Random drug/alcohol screening, as needed Blood draws for DUI and drugs, as needed, when on site Design and implementation of all medical forms for healthcare programs. Provide medical clearance for inmate workers at the request of CCDC staff. Provide appropriate mental health staff on site to manage mental health population.
