Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Atlanta’s (the “City”) Department of City Planning (DCP), Office of Design, is seeking proposals from a consultant or a team of consultants to support the Office of Design’s Historic Preservation and Urban Design staffs, as well as the leadership of DCP in creating the Historic Atlanta: A Historic Revitalization Strategy for the City of Atlanta (hereafter referred to as the “Historic Revitalization Strategy”). The City’s Office of Design, within DCP, manages the City’s Historic Preservation programs, including administration of the City’s Historic Preservation Ordinance (current version adopted in 1989) and management of the operations of the Atlanta Urban Design Commission (established in 1975). In addition, the Office of Design’s Historic Preservation staff provides assistance to property owners, neighborhoods, the public, and other government agencies with historic preservation matters in the City and maintains compliance with federal preservation laws in partnership with other City agencies.
