The proposed work consists of expanding the existing berth structure with roughly 4,600 square feet of new concrete pile supported platform consisting of cast-in-place pile caps and deck and 4,600 square feet of new concrete pile supported access bridge consisting of cast-in-place pile caps, deck and barriers with precast girders; demolition of existing walkways and mooring dolphins including extracting piles to facilitate new construction, and the installation of new mooring bollards and timber curb, steel pile supported fender protection, expansion joints, and a new precast walkway. Also, the work consists of top side and underdeck structural repairs; concrete fabriform slope protection repair and rip-rap shoreline stabilization, removal and replacement of an existing waterline; installation of new fire hydrant and potable water meter assemblies; new electrical lighting, conduit and wiring; and minor cut/fill with erosion and sedimentation controls, concrete paving, striping, fencing, guardrail and signage. The project is located at the Colonel’s Island Terminal, Brunswick, Georgia.
