Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hazardous Material Identification/Removal - The Contractor must thoroughly acquaint himself with all existing areas and conditions. The Contractor must visit the sites prior to submission of proposals. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, facilities, equipment, services, insurance and incidentals necessary for asbestos abatement within the work area. The Contractor must use industry-accepted asbestos removal procedures. All visible evidence of asbestos debris must be removed using methods such as HEPA vacuuming, wet wiping, wet brushing, wet scraping and other state-of-theart techniques for better. Dry sweeping shall be prohibited in the work area. The Contractor must be responsible for ensuring proper asbestos disposal. Contractor is responsible for the proper removal of all fluorescent bulbs, ballasts and mercury switches on thermostats. Building Demolition – The Contractor must thoroughly acquaint himself with all existing areas and conditions. The Contractor must visit the sites prior to submission of proposals. Contractors may visit at their convenience or contact the Inspection Dept. at 478-277-5070 for assistance with the locations. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, facilities, equipment, services, insurance and incidentals necessary for demolition within the work area. The Contractor must coordinate with the City of Dublin for the disconnection of all utilities to the building. Permits, licenses, and taxes shall be the responsibility of the Contractor at no additional cost to the City should any be required. The Contractor shall secure and pay for any and all permits incidental to, requested or required for the demolition of the buildings.
