Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) desires to perform a renovation and expansion of a 17,000 SF existing kitchen building at the East Central Regional Hospital, Augusta Campus, in Augusta, Georgia. The renovated kitchen building will have approximately 180 indoor dining seats and serve approximately 460 servings each of breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. DBHDD is seeking to have the selected design professional create a supportive dining environment with a well-designed physical setting to create the best possible mealtime experience for residents. The design shall be guided by the most current versions of: The Joint Commission’s standards related to the Planning, Design, and Construction of Health Care Facilities; The Behavioral Health Design Guide by Behavioral Health Facility Consulting, LLC; and Patient Safety Standards, Materials and Systems Guidelines Recommended by the New York State Office of Mental Health.
