Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide for collection and storage of all Crash Data electronically and develop a new electronic crash reporting system and/or customize a previously developed electronic crash reporting system for use by GDOT. The Consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting the electronic Crash Report and shall at a minimum work with the State Safety Program Manager, located at the address listed in B above or other designated GDOT representative ("GDOT Program Manager") to validate and enhance all required GDOT validation rules (Exhibit B). The Consultant shall offer the electronic Crash Report free of charge to interested LEAs which report Crash Data. The Consultant may enter into fee-sharing arrangements with the individual LEAs in exchange for providing and supporting said electronic Crash Report. G. Develop, implement and support a map-based location tool for a law enforcement officer in the field to utilize in spatially identifying the location of each crash. Develop, implement and support a map-based location tool for desk top mapping and location validation. Ideally, the law enforcement map-based location tools will be portable, and in a commonly used interchangeable electronic format, so as to allow it to be potentially integrated with any electronic crash reporting application. Alternatively, GDOT, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to allow a batch crash locating method similar to the one currently employed which utilizes GIS software technology. Any batch location or manual mapping method used must comply with a standard mapping procedure that utilizes WGS1984 geographic projection in decimal degree latitude / longitude format with an horizontal accuracy of + 50 feet and be approved by the GDOT Program Manager.
