The Consultant shall provide professional aviation systems planning and engineering services and develop and prepare specialty studies in support of Georgia’s Aviation Program for the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Division of Intermodal to include the following: Advanced Aviation Technology Statewide planning, infrastructure implementation projects, or services in the areas of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM), Safety Management Systems (SMS) and other new technologies resulting from aircraft introduced in these classifications. Detailed studies in these areas that could impact the state’s aviation system using new technologies to improve air transportation and intermodal connections would be a part of future tasks. These studies will be conducted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs that would assist in the formulation of future scopes of work. These studies would help the state formulate action plans, blueprints, cost estimates and implementation plans providing tools necessary to continue to improve Georgia's system of airports.
