Specifications include, but are not limited to: roof replacement for the classroom building, roof repair at the Administrative area, and gutter and downspout replacement at the Media Center; modifications to the student toilets in the classroom wing and staff toilets to make them ADA compliant; replacement of failing window systems and damaged soffits; modifications to the existing parking to provide ADA compliant parking stalls and accessible routes to the entry; modifications to the accessible route from the bus drop-off/pick-up area, gym, chapel, play fields, and several other sidewalk locations to make them fully ADA compliant; remediation at failing portions of asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, and concrete curb and gutters; retaining wall repair; replace asphalt at parking and drive aisle; and, replace the packaged rooftop air handling units. The project shall be designed such that the scope of work to replace the packaged rooftop air handling units can be indicated as a Deductive Alternate in the event bids exceed the Stated Cost Limitation. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the scope of work. The selected Architect/Engineer shall confirm and obtain DCSD approval of full scope of work prior to the start of design. The Architect/Engineer will be responsible for confirming the need for these elements and for making recommendations if an element is deemed unnecessary or if a more pressing element is discovered.
