18-270 - Smokehouse Building Relocate and Refurbish

 
The City of Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Division is seeking competitive, electronic bids to relocate an older building structure to the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve.  The building is currently located near the Rogers Bridge Trail, just located off of Bell Road. The structure is approximately 20 feet by 30 feet and is estimated to be over 100 years old. Originally used as a smokehouse, the structure was relocated to the present site about fifteen years ago and used as a storage building. The approximate moving distance is four miles.
Once relocated, the City wishes to re-furbish the structure on site. The building is structurally sound but has been vandalized on several occasions.  Some wood will need to be replaced and the entire structure will be re-painted.
