Service will include providing containers and waste collection services. Service will be performed in a variety of types of governmental locations including court facilities, fire departments, penal institutions, and administrative buildings. • All services are to be performed according to all state, county, and city building codes. • Local laws and ordinances governing noise or nuisance shall be observed. • Bidders must be licensed by the State of Georgia to perform such service. • Successful bidders must provide proof of insurance. (Certificate will be required to shoe Forsyth County as additional insured.) • Forsyth County will expect successful bidder to give “priority status” on all county calls of service. • Bidders responding to this invitation must be able to provide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year coverage, including holidays for the entirety of the contract. • During the winter months, the campground locations generate considerably less waste, therefore, the county will adjust frequencies of trash pick-ups. The county shall have flexibility to adjust it’s pick-up schedules as needed and establish pick up frequencies during these “not regularly scheduled” periods. • The contractor agrees to abide by the schedule as specified. In instances where this schedule cannot be met, the contractor will contact the Public Facilities department as soon as possible. However, this action will not relieve the contractor of the responsibility to provide such services as are necessary to completely remove any and all accumulated trash and refuse caused by failure to maintain the schedule. • The contractor is responsible for the care and maintenance of all containers provided as a part this service. Any container that becomes unfit for refuse storage, or loses it’s protection against vermin, shall be replaced at no cost to the county. The county shall notify the contractor of the need for replacement of any unsatisfactory container. • Forsyth County shall not be required to purchase minimum amounts of waste collection service during the contract period. Actual quantities ordered will be based upon the needs of the County and will be priced according to contract pricing. • This contract may be cancelled by Forsyth County at any time if provider does not meet the required pick up schedule or does not provide containers for use. • Temporary roll off construction dumpsters pricing is also included as part of this bid. Bidders may bid services they can provide. Forsyth County reserves the right to award this section separately or to more than one bidder. • Bid prices shall include all labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal, overhead (direct and indirect), profit, insurance, bonds, and other costs to cover finished work of the several kinds called for. • The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to a building or other property cause by his workers while performing the work indicated in these specifications.
