The Scope includes Removal of R/W Vegetation 50’ from the Pavement Edge, or to GDOT’s Right-of-Way. If the existing Right-of-Way Line cannot be easily recognized, the GDOT Inspector will aid the Contractor in identifying existing Right-of-Way. Hazardous, dead, diseased, dying and/or leaning trees within the GDOT R/W limits SHALL be removed at the ground level. Grassing has been designated by the engineer for all disturbed areas. Interstates are not considered a rural area. Therefore, chipped debris may not be spread over disturbed areas. Broadcasting chip material into the tree line per spec shall be allowed unless area falls within 50 feet of a drainage inlets. Heavy Equipment SHALL not be used in areas designated as Environmentally Sensitive or within 50 feet of drainage structures. All work in these areas MUST be done by hand. All tree stumps shall be ground flush with the surrounding ground surface unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. This Contract contains Intermediate Completion Dates as outlined in Table 9.1. Failure to meet scheduled Project Milestones may result in issuance of a Notice of Default.
