Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Item No. 1. Gate Valve and Cover Box - (MARS Model HH-1), three (3) part, eighteen (18”) inches long, per drawing (page 24) or acceptable equal. a. The three (3) parts consist of the pipe, cover, and lid. b. The pipe shall be sized to fit the square cover section, which is class 100 iron pipe size PVC. c. The box frame shall be injection molded in Celanese UV Stabilized Polypropylene in Black. d. The box frame shall also be traffic rated and capable of being installed in concrete or asphalt. e. The lid shall be traffic rated and have a galvanized steel locator disk installed inside. f. The lid shall be equipped with a key slot for secure service and easy removal. g. The Top Cover shall have the word “WATER” molded onto the cover and be equipped with A sand ring designed to wipe excess sand and dirt from the sealing surface when the top is opened. 2. Item No. 2. Valve Box - cast iron, two (2) piece, complete with covers marked “Water”, slip type, five and one-quarter (5-1/4”) inches diameter, per the drawings on pages 25 and 26. Extensions shall not be less than 24 inches nor greater than 38 inches, minimum weight 74 lbs. 3. Item No. 3. Valve Cover - This valve cover shall fit the valve boxes in Item No. 2 above. 4. Item Nos. 4-8. Risers, Valve Box - One (1”) through six (6) inches, per drawing on page 27.
