The City of Covington Police Department is seeking to purchase a Live-Fire Turning Target System for the Covington Police Department firearm range. The turning targets will be used at the outdoor firearms range for officers to use during weapon qualifications and training at the Police Department firearm range. The department is seeking bids for 20 turning targets, or 10 double turner lanes, (details listed below) and all the equipment associated with such target system, as well as the delivery, installation, testing and instruction to Police personnel on the proper operation, maintenance, and care of the turning target system. The winning bidder will complete a full installation of the turning targets at the Covington Police Department firearm range, where 20 individual turning target systems will be installed. The electric turning target system will be of good quality and be able to work and function properly in any condition including the ability to withstand harsh outside conditions such as extreme hot, cold, and rainy weather. The electric turning target system will be mounted onto an existing concrete pad, and all turner units, stands, hardware, labor, etc. will be included in the bid. Targets should have the ability to operate and “turn” 360 degrees and be a motorized electric turning target system. Targets should include a target stand and target holder, which when needed, would allow for a quick change of targets and target backing material. The targets should feature wireless communication between the target and a communication device, e.g. tablet, laptop computer, etc. which would allow the user/instructor to program several combinations of drills and qualifications while using the turning targets. Electrical power is already supplied to the site but all further power supplies, plugs, conduit, wiring, etc. will be supplied by bidder. It is not necessary to include in the bid any defensive materials, e.g. AR500 steel, knee wall barriers, etc., as this will be installed by the Police Department.
