Specifications include, but are not limited to:Demolition, new construction, and site work. The demolition will include, but not limited to, removing an existing concrete block addition to the gymnasium with all of the roof, interior walls, floor, foundation, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Demolition will also include abatement of hazardous material as identified in the report provided by Terracon. The new construction will include an 8,300 square feet concrete block addition to the gymnasium (consisting of office space, a multi-purpose room, restrooms/lockers, kitchen, and other studio/fitness rooms), with all of the components (electrical, plumbing, and mechanical) to make this a usable building. Site work will consist of removing and relocating existing utilities lines and the installation of new lines, grading, pavement resurfacing and landscaping. The project is located on approximately 3.5 acres, north of Ogeechee Road, on which the existing Tompkins Community Center, community pool, and the Mary Flournoy Golden Age Center are located.
