Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful responder shall provide temporary personnel services in accordance with the following requirements: A. Assignments may range from a single day to an indefinite period. During the assignment, temporary personnel shall not work for any period over eight (8) hours per day for a maximum of forty (40) hours per week without prior authorization from the DeKalb County Human Resources and Merit System Department. B. Normal working hours are 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Prior to the start of each assignment, working hours will be mutually agreed to by the Requesting Department and the successful responder. C. The DeKalb County government observes 10 holidays during each calendar year, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day following Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Whenever a legal holiday occurs on Saturday, the previous Friday will be observed. Whenever a legal holiday occurs on Sunday, the Monday following will be observed. For the purpose of this contract, all work will be performed during normal business workdays unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Consultants are not paid on County holidays. D. Except in connection with a replacement for cause, the successful responder will not reassign or replace personnel assigned to the County unless the successful responder can demonstrate to the reasonable satisfaction of the County that such reassignment will not have a material adverse effect on the Countys operations. E. See Attachment A to this RFP, Common Position Descriptions, for the most common position descriptions for temporary personnel required by DeKalb County. Responder shall indicate the number of available personnel for each position description on Attachment A. F. DeKalb County reserves the right to request additional temporary personnel categories not identified by the titles listed herein. If the County requests categories of personnel that are not included in Attachment B, Cost Proposal, Sections I and III, the County and successful responder shall mutually agree to a firm fixed hourly rate for the additional categories that shall apply for the duration of the agreement. G. DeKalb County is aware that temporary service providers often specialize in certain employee disciplines. Responders may propose in one or more of the categories in Attachment B, Cost Proposal Form. H. Successful responder must comply with DeKalb Countys employment policies, Equal Employment Opportunity Americans with Disabilities Act Age Discrimination in Employment Act Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Immigrant 12-500227-RFP Page 2 Reform and Control Act Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other local, state, and federal legislation as required.
