Augusta Technical College is embarking on a transformative initiative to construct a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Technology Building on the Columbia County campus located at 3500 John Huffman Way, Grovetown, Georgia 30813.This new facility will serve as the cornerstone for the College’s efforts to meet the rapidly growing workforce demands of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and position the institution as a national leader in advanced manufacturing education. It is envisioned the new building will consist of approximately 48,500 gross square feet of space housing all manufacturing and engineering programs, featuring: • Modern classrooms and computer labs • Specialized program laboratories • Faculty academic spaces • Dedicated areas for cutting-edge technologies such as: o Metrology o Additive manufacturing and 3D printing/prototyping o CNC/Machine Tool o Mechatronics and Robotics/IoT o Manufacturing 4.0 and digital manufacturing o Pneumatics and hydraulics o Engineering technology disciplines (architectural, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, and nuclear) • OEM shared space • Business incubator/accelerator for industry collaboration
