This project consists of approximately 28 shoulder miles of random vegetation clearing, trimming, and herbicide application on SR 39 in Stewart County from MP 0.00 (Quitman/Stewart County line) to MP 24.3 (end of route at intersection with SR 1). The random clearing will include the removal of all trees, brush, stumps, and roots projecting through or appearing on the surface of the ground by cutting or grinding. Removal of roadside vegetation includes clearing as described in the following. Removal shall be both horizontal and vertical, clearing away of any overhangs as well. No grubbing or excavating operations are allowed. Also, there shall be no fill material brought into wetland areas or rutting from equipment.. Disturbance or removal of landscaped vegetation shall not be permitted. All labor, equipment and materials used for this project as shown in the plans and described in the Scope of Work to be Performed shall be included in the overall bid for the Job. Logging operations for marketable timber is permissible provided that the ground disturbance is minimal. This project shall be bid per line item.
