Specifications include, but are not limited to:Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated §§50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (“eRFQ”) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide the Surface Mine Reclamation of Former Ominvest Resources, Inc. to the Department of Natural Resources (hereinafter, “the State Entity”) as further described in this eRFQ. The State Entity is seeking fixed bids for reclamation of the former surface mine. The bids provided shall be for completing all activities required to reclaim the former mine. The winning Offeror shall abide by the task instructions in the following paragraphs. Failure to comply with any task below may result in loss of the award by the selected contractor. The extent and exact scope of work is described in Attachment H and will be discussed at the site prior to bidding, but general project requirements include: Stabilization of the haul road over culvert near the entrance to support heavy truck traffic. Minor dirt road improvement to allow heavy traffic to enter and exit safely. Regrading of soil and stockpile mounds to a 3 Horizontal to1 Vertical slope within the permitted area. Removal of all mining equipment and refuse from within the permitted area. Refuse includes, but is not limited to, conveyor belts, small and large concrete rubble, large concrete and metal pipes, general trash, and a mound of clinker material. The establishment of permanent vegetation (suitable to the area) where necessary on all affected and regraded areas. The contractor must start work within 30 days of award date. The contractor must maintain erosion and sedimentation controls until the project has been completed, as determined by DNR.
