Specifications include, but are not limited to: BID Requirements: Speech Language Pathologists • SLP’s must meet the state minimum requirement for “qualified” Speech Language Pathologist (i.e. Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and GA license). • SLP’s must provide a copy of certification upon request. • GCPS requires that agencies check previous employer/professional references for candidates and provide a copy of at least 2 of those references at the candidate presentation. • GCPS reserves the right to secure services from other agencies. • Overtime must be preapproved by the district program coordinator. • Each agency contracting five (5) or more therapists with GCPS are required to provide at least one appropriate in-state continuing education opportunity for all therapists serving GCPS students. • Other professional development or other dues are the responsibility of the therapist or agency. • GCPS reserves the right to discontinue an agreement with a given therapist/company with a 30 day notice. • Time sheets must be approved by a local school administrator for time worked in that location. • Therapists are expected to work school hours. Flexibility of work hours is not allowed unless hours are a GCPS business requirement. • A 30 day cancellation notice is required for ongoing assignments. Agency is required to provide a suitable replacement or notify GCPS within 5 days of notice if no replacement is available. • After 2 consecutive years of successful placement with GCPS, the therapists will be allowed to apply for direct employment with GCPS without a non-compete penalty
