In both the diagnostic medical sonography and cardiac sonography fields, students are expected to be proficient on a range of equipment types and software platforms. The selected GE machines meet the varying diagnostic needs within the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) and Echocardiography (Echo) programs at Ogeechee Technical College. GE offers a range of ultrasound models-each tier equipped with different capabilities suited for specific applications. High-tier systems provide advanced imaging technologies essential for complex and specialized exams, while mid- and entry-level systems are ideal for routine scanning, student training, and general imaging. Having access to each tier ensures that our students and staff can perform the full spectrum of examinations with the appropriate technology for each case.
