Specifications include, but are not limited to: Supply the Hall County School District with School Security Services. Security Officers will: • Be under the direct supervision of the school principal and may be assigned additional duties by the principal. • Work 8 hours per day, 5 days a week for 180 days. This number can be reduced by a few days due to inclement weather and other extenuating circumstances. This reduction should not be greater than four days. • Report for duty, pick-up equipment from front office, sign in/out, fill in proper paperwork for shift, and begin basic exterior patrol duties. • During this shift perform basic access/control duties from the guardhouse. Check identification of anyone wanting to enter the facility. • Monitor all areas inside the perimeter of the fence within visual range of the guardhouse. Record any unusual activity and if necessary, contact the appropriate Supervisor/SRO inside of the school. • Record any unusual activity on daily log sheet. If an incident occurs, complete a full and accurate incident report and turn in to the principal for review. • In the event of an emergency, contact 911 first. Then contact the principal of the school, record the times of the event, and the names of the individuals called. This information is extremely important and must be recorded.
