The contractor shall: 1. Demolition and Surface Preparation • Safely remove and dispose of the existing liner in accordance with environmental and disposal regulations. • Inspect the underlying surface (gunite/concrete) for cracks, wear, or structural damage. • Repair any structural defects or cracks using industry-accepted materials and techniques. 2. Installation of New Lining System • Provide and install a commercial-grade, pool-safe liner suitable for high-use, public aquatic facilities. • Acceptable liner materials may include reinforced PVC membrane, fiberglass, or other durable, waterproof systems approved for commercial pool use. • Ensure watertight sealing at all seams, joints, inlets, outlets, and other penetrations. • Verify that the new liner: ▪ Covers the entire interior surface of the Lazy River and wraps over the top. ▪ Is UV-resistant, slip-resistant, and easy to maintain. ▪ Meets or exceeds all applicable state and local aquatic safety and environmental codes. 3. Post-Installation Work • Reconfirm Lazy River dimensions (surface area and volume) after liner installation. • Reconnect or reinstall water circulation and filtration systems. • Test for leaks, flow, and proper turnover rate. • Refill and chemically balance the water. • Conduct operational testing and turnover flow validation. • Provide the City with documentation, including maintenance guidance and warranty information...
