Sodium Chloride supplied must meet all minimum standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard B200 (latest revision), the Georgia Department of Health, Division of Water Supply and American National Standards Institute/National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 60 or Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) for potable water. 1. Sodium Chloride must be Morton Salt Culinox 999, or approved equivalent, and shall be food grade material. 2. The material shall be homogenous and in granular form. It shall be free from dirt, fibers, lint, chips, trash or other foreign matters. 3. Typical properties: • Sodium Chloride: 99.9% by weight or greater • Surface Moisture: < 0.1% by weight • pH: 5 to 9.5
