The Camden County Board of Commissioners is releasing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to procure Land Mobile Radio (LMR) subscriber units equipment and associated services according to a Project (P25) Public Safety Radio System and in accordance with the requirements of this Proposal invitation and any resulting contract. Camden County Georgia is requesting bids to replace (upgrade) its current portable and mobile radio communications equipment. The scope of this request is limited to equipment, programming, installation, basic fleet mapping and warranty support. Camden County Georgia operates a county-wide VHF, simulcast over IP radio system, with four sites. Camden County is upgrading the current radio system to 800 MHz, P25, Phase Two system and will operate on five sites. The Camden County Radio System is managed by the Camden County Emergency Management Agency. The goal of this RFP is to ensure purchased radio equipment is interoperable, sustainable, both with the VHF and 800 MHz systems, while providing interoperability with the cities of St Marys, and Kingsland, and neighboring communities, The City of Kingsland will have their own contract and billing. This RFP calls for purchase of new Harris portable and mobile radios, including installation i.e. wiring/antenna, programming, and service support. Installation will include Police Patrol vehicles, Fire Department apparatus, Ambulances, and Admin support vehicles. Purchase will also include identified accessories including chargers, speaker microphones e.g., shoulder / lapel worn.
