Specifications include, but are not limited to: from qualified Internet service providers capable of designing, constructing, serving, and billing residents of the County with residential and commercial broadband Internet service to currently unserved and/or underserved areas of the County, as such areas are identified and to be served as set forth in the successful proposal through fiber optic means. The County seeks to investigate the feasibility and means to extend existing fiber-optic high-speed data networks in the County so that all of, or the practical majority of, the County has access to high-speed internet. For purposes of this proposal, "high speed" internet shall be defined as internet service providing speeds of 100 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload.
