Moody AFB is looking for a compact, lightweight, and rugged two-channel handheld radio designed to provide war-fighters with simultaneous narrowband and wideband communications capability to operate as the AN/PRC152A . It supports tactical command and control communications in various challenging environments. Both narrowband and wideband communications are Type-1 protected. The narrowband channel operates legacy tactical waveforms, including SATCOM, and also supports commercial SATCOM. The wideband channel operates the WREN-TSM™ waveform from TrellisWare® Technologies, Inc., delivering superior voice and data communications across harsh multi-path and unpredictable dynamic areas, such as caves, onboard ships, and urban operational settings.
- Frequency Range: Narrowband - 30 MHz - 512 MHz. Wideband - L-UHF 225-450 MHz, U-UHF 698-970 MHz, L/S Bands 1250-2600 MHz
- Transmit Power: Narrowband up to 5 watt in all frequencies, 10 watt in SATCOM. Wideband Up to 2 watts.
- Network Throughput: Up to 16 Mbps, supporting high-speed wireless IP networking.
- Waveforms: Supports WREN-TSM™ waveform for infrastructure-less MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) operations, providing robust voice and data communications.
- Encryption: Type-1 Certified Programmable Encryption Engine (AIM) for secure communications.
