The purpose of this solicitation is to establish an Open Agency Contract for the printing and delivery of the Georgia Official State Highway and Transportation Map for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The selected contractor(s) will be responsible for all aspects of map production, including pre-press, full-color printing, trimming, folding, packaging, and delivery, in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the services. Only one (1) Supplier will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The contractor shall have the capacity to print approximately 1 million state maps within 4 weeks (not including shipping time). This is only intended to be a rough estimate; actual quantities may vary. 7.2 The contractor shall use a high-volume offset press capable of printing at least four (4) colors in one (1) pass. If new, improved technology becomes available during the term of this contract, the contractor may utilize it to print the map if agreed upon by both parties in writing. 7.3 The contractor shall print all maps double-sided and in color, unless otherwise specified by GDOT. 7.4 Paper: The contractor shall print the maps using the following paper specifications or an equivalent paper if agreed upon by both parties in writing: • 70# Flo Dull Book • Minimum brightness test value of ninety (90) • Minimum opacity of ninety (92) • Minimum of 10% post-consumer waste (PCW) To eliminate printing delays, the contractor should purchase the paper as soon as they receive the purchase order from GDOT.
