Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Section includes Bookstore Program Requirements. Operations A.1 Operations Requirements a. Locations/Programs. The contractor shall manage and operate the following Bookstore locations and programs: • Brunswick Campus Bookstore, located on the Brunswick Campus in Brunswick, GA • Café located in the Brunswick Campus Bookstore Camden Center Bookstore, located on the Camden Campus in Kingsland, GA • Bookstore Website b. College Rights Re: Bookstore Facility. CCGA will have the right to add, remove, or modify the size of the Bookstore facility if CCGA deems such additions, removals, or modifications to be in the best interest of the College. c. Bookstore Name. The names of the Bookstore shall be as follows: • College of Coastal Georgia Bookstore (Lighthouse)- Brunswick Campus • College of Coastal Georgia Bookstore- Camden Center CCGA and/or the contractor may determine another name that is mutually agreed upon. d. Contractor Duties/Responsibilities. The contractor shall operate the Bookstore on its own credit and shall furnish at its own expense, all merchandise, equipment, labor, supplies, and services required to perform its duties and responsibilities as required by CCGA. e. Products And Services. The contractor shall provide CCGA with a full range of course materials, new textbooks, used textbooks, digital textbooks, custom published materials, Open Educational Resources (OER), Inclusive Access/Course Fee-based course materials, textbook rentals, general books, bestsellers, reference books, supplies, art supplies, computer/technology products, computer supplies, peripherals, course related supplies, general merchandise, emblematic clothing, emblematic gifts, greeting cards, convenience items, health and beauty aids (HBA’s), special order services, graduation related merchandise, a full-service café, and other services expected from a full-service bookstore. CCGA strongly encourages Proposals that include any additional products or services that can be offered to enhance value to students and the CCGA community; generate traffic into the Bookstore; and assist with transitioning from a traditional college bookstore to a destination center offering state-of-the-art campus retail services. f. Right To Operate Bookstore. The contractor shall have the right to operate the Bookstore serving the CCGA community. However, the CCGA Administration may authorize the sale of certain items by approved local vendors, student groups, or CCGA organizations. The contractor must recognize that CCGA is focused on course materials affordability for CCGA Students. As part of this focus, CCGA will continue to explore all options regarding the digital delivery of course materials and course content, including Open Educational Resources (OER), Inclusive Access/Course Fee-based course materials, etc. (Note: Inclusive Access/Course Fee-based course materials are not currently an option; however Board of Regents policy could make this program an option in the future.) It is CCGA’s hope that the selected contractor will bring value-added programs and services with respect to digital delivery and/or other innovative course materials programs and services.
