Specifications include, but are not limited to: The bicycle rental service shall include furnishing an adequate number of bicycle type rental equipment to accommodate the public demand. The equipment should be made available on both a reservation and/or walk-up basis. The service may also include selling items that can be purchased by the general public to assist them in their enjoyment of the park such as bottled water, energy drinks and healthy snacks. A. The County desires a single entity, whether that will be an individual, firm, or joint venture that can demonstrate two years of experience in equipment rental and demonstrate a track record of delivering high level customer service and efficient management. B. Schedule: 1) The service shall operate five (5) to seven (7) days a week, year round. An example of rental hours are Monday Friday: noon until dark and Saturday- Sunday: 10:00 am until dark. 2) Service shall operate on most recognized holidays with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day. 3) An approved sign (to be purchased and erected by DeKalb County) shall be posted with days, dates and hours of operation. C. The successful service provider who is awarded the contract shall also remit to the County a percentage share (or fee) of quarterly net income which will be remitted to the County not later than the 30th day of the first month following the end of the quarter. "Net Income" is defined as all transactions* for cash or credit, less expenses, applicable sales taxes and the cost of maintaining the rental equipment.
